Produce for Better Health Foundation’s National Excellence Awards recognize companies, organizations and individuals nationwide that take an active role in 5-A- Day and in spreading the message of the importance of fruits and vegetables for better health.
The National Action Plan to Promote Health through Increased Fruit and Vegetable Consumption identifies many strategies to help create an environment where the healthy choice is the easy choice and fruits and vegetables are center stage in producing a healthier America. Through the Produce for Better Health Foundation’s (PBH) 2006 National Excellence Awards, public and private organizations are recognized for taking a leadership role in implementing National Action Plan strategies.
