Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference

The Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference, we now have many friends throughout the Netherlands and many have passed on a video that the producers of the Dutch TV show “Sunday with Lubach” broadcast that was designed to introduce The Netherlands to America’s new President. It is not clear how much it reflects Dutch attitudes, but it raises the question of how the world will perceive the whole “America First” attitude that President Trump is promulgating. 5/11/2017

Being Audacious In Amsterdam finds it doubtful Henry Ford ever really said that if he enquired, people would say they wanted faster horses, but it doesn’t matter. The idea expressed is an argument for audacious innovation, a rebellion against cautious incrementalism, and this is what brings us to Amsterdam today. It is what underlies The Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference. 11/2/2016

There’s a Dutch Saying... Amsterdam Produce Show To Bridge Cultures And Channel Innovation reveals that whenever you deal with people outside your own country, you have to find ways to bridge cultural divides. The Dutch are quite forthright and blunt. To an American or Brit, it can come off as offensive – though no offense is intended. In time, we came to appreciate this character trait; it lets you know where you stand. We sent Pundit Investigator and Special Projects Editor Mira Slott to see what nuances of communication she could glean in Holland. 11/2/2016

LIVING WITH A PURPOSE - Campos Borquez/Whole Foods/Fair Trade/The Workforce Form Partnership To Help People And Maybe Save The Reputation Of The Industry Project Unveiled  At The Amsterdam Produce Show what Campos Borquez is doing impacts all four focus sectors of the Knowledge Centre at the Amsterdam Produce Show & Conference (Innovation, Sustainability, Education & Health) and challenges the industry to go beyond “showcase projects” at the farm, to really consider what would enhance the life of the workers and their families, much of that life taking place not on farm property but back in their home villages. So we were fortunate when Sergio Borquez agreed to speak in Amsterdam. We asked PRODUCE BUSINESS Contributing Editor Kayla Young to seek a sneak preview of this meaningful presentation. 10/26/2016

PRODUCE AND GENERATION Z - Can We Make Our Pitch Effective In Eight Seconds Or Less?  With a new model event such as The Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference, itis natural that we should seek ways to better understand and communicate with younger people. So when we heard that Nic Jooste at Cool Fresh International was doing a study on exactly that subject and had teamed up with a young intern to make it happen, we knew we had a match. We asked Pundit Investigator and Special Projects Editor Mira Slott to find out more. 10/26/2016

We wanted to get more insight into what visitors will experience as they traverse both Amsterdam and Rotterdam, so we asked Pundit Investigator and Special Projects Editor Mira Slott to pay a visit. Here is her report. 10/25/2016
